Maria transferred from the Kiwanis Club of Oceanside to OPK in October 2006. She has served as the Club’s Social Activities chairperson for several years.

She likes family activities, especially working with kids. She works with Casa de Amparo giving the kids haircuts.

Her primary committee interest lies with the Student Leadership Programs Committee. She is the Club’s representative to the El Camino Key Club. Her daughters were and are active Key Clubbers. Her oldest daughter was a Key Club Lt. Governor and she is now active with Circle K at the University of California at Irvine.

Maria holds a Distinguished Service Award from the California Nevada Hawaii District of Kiwanis International.

Maria was recently elected to the Club’s Board of Directors for a two year term.
