History and Introduction of the William A. Dunlap Fellowship |

|
The Kiwanis Cal-Nev-Ha Foundation was organized in 1965 when District Governor William A. Dunlap had the Articles of Incorporation approved by the District Board of Trustees and the Kiwanis International Board as a means to provide relief funds and financial aid throughout the district.
This was the direct result of the disaster of 1965 when the town of Klamath was destroyed by the flooding of the Klamath River. Governor Bill quickly organized the District Foundation to respond to the town's need.
In 1966, he was elected to serve as the Kiwanis Cal-Nev-Ha Foundation's first President. In honor of Past Governor Dunlap, the Kiwanis Cal-Nev-Ha Foundation Board of Directors created the William A. Dunlap Fellowship.
Membership is initiated by donation of $1,000.00. Clubs, divisions, or individuals may purchase a Dunlap to present to another individual in recognition of exceptional service to their club, division or community.
5% of this donation will be designated for the Kiwanis Cal-Nev-Ha Foundation's unrestricted fund. The donor may direct 50% of the net contribution to a specific Foundation program, outlined on the application.
The recipient is also invited to the annual Foundation Honors Breakfast at the District Convention. |
